Olivia Deur is a Sydney based fashion designer and couturier with over two decades of international experience. She is celebrated for her sophisticated style, meticulous craftsmanship, refined aesthetic, and dedication to timeless, bespoke fashion. Her work embodies slow luxury — garments created with intention, precision and enduring elegance.
A 2001 graduate of the prestigious East Sydney Fashion Design Studio — where she received first place in the Cutting Edge Youth Fashion Awards — Olivia went on to refine her craft as Design Assistant to Australian icons Lisa Ho and Genevieve Smart. In 2005 she moved to London where she established her own atelier in Notting Hill, specialising in luxurious, made-to-measure womenswear.
Now based in Paddington, Sydney, Olivia continues to create one-of-a-kind pieces for a discerning worldwide clientele — drawing on her international experience and unwavering commitment to artisanal design.
The Process
Olivia Deur will meet with the client for a personalised consultation to discuss their vision. A quote and design sketch is then provided after the meeting. Upon approval, the creation of the garment begins with taking the client’s measurments, creating a toile (prototype), first fittings and fabric selections.
Depending on the detailing and complexity of the design, the garment may take anywhere from 1 to 6 months to complete. The result is a unique couture piece, impeccably tailored to the client's specifications.
For interstate and international clients, consultations and fittings are held via Zoom. The toile and final garment/s are delivered via DHL.
